R&D Engineer - Valve Medical - 762

For our R&D team in Jerusalem, we are seeking a talented R&D Mechanical Engineer to develop manufacturing processes, support production lines, optimize existing processes, and perform mechanical design of fixtures, tooling, and auxiliary equipment. The role includes hands-on work on the production floor, conducting engineering tests and experiments, writing protocols and reports, and working with suppliers as part of the development and manufacturing of a medical device.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting manufacturing activities and resolving mechanical/process issues on the production line.
  • Developing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve repeatability, yield, and efficiency.
  • Performing mechanical design in SolidWorks, including GD&T, and designing production tooling and jigs.
  • Writing protocols, conducting engineering tests, and documenting results.
  • Collaborating with suppliers for component fabrication and production support.

Basic Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical development or manufacturing engineering
  • Strong SolidWorks skills
  • Hands-on experience with assemblies, prototyping, and testing
  • Strong technical documentation skills
  • Experience in the medical device industry — advantage
  • Familiarity with cardiovascular technologies/catheters — advantage

Preferred Knowledge, Languages, Skills, And Abilities

  • Knowledge in Mechanical mechanisms.
  • Knowledge in manufacturing processes.
  • Good understanding of medical device standards, guidelines, and regulations.
  • The ability to work in R&D mode as well as a GMP environment.
  • Languages: English – Proficient; Hebrew – Fluent.
  • Skills: Team player, responsible, creative, organized, detail-oriented, proactive, able to work in a dynamic environment.
